there is the most meager flinch when he says those words so casually - 'when he drowned you too?' and for a brief moment, her anger fear spikes. drowned... too. he really went and repeated that whole performance, did he? but he hadn't followed through. no meaningful story, no waxing poetic about the pain of betrayal and all that? why? why not? wasn't that part of the point?
